Constructed around 1850, the building is Grade 2 Listed, and provides accommodation for older persons within its 18 units. The design of the site is typical for its age, with a horseshoe shaped block surrounding a lawned area providing a private open space for the residents. Public transport routes are close by giving access to the city centre and Headingley.
